TOWIE Tango

I think my trusty IPhone camera has had a challenge too far with this pink changing room and a white shirt as I now seem to have acquired a tan any TOWIE star would be proud of!  And this shirt is a real star too -its  from Miss. Selfridge, loose fitting with a flattering scalloped edge, long enough to cover the ‘derriere’ – a real grown-up shirt and perfect to team with jeans, leggings or slim fitting trousers…just wondering if there is any chance of a guest appearance in TOWIE for a tangerine-coloured fiftysomething?xx

Floral At 50

Now the snowdrops are starting to appear it seems like spring is only just round the corner and the high street is at last starting to look more colourful.  This special coat from Desigual is a bit of floral fun and is one piece that brings this season’s trends together – ultra feminine with lavender and lemon florals but not too girlie for us 50 something flowers!…..xx

Pretty In Pastels At 50 Something

Even if its still chilly outside its lovely to think that we wont always be wrapped up in winter woolies. Pastels seem to be one of the buzz words for spring and its good news for us 50 somethings as these sugary shades flatter our skin tones.  This floaty top from Label  is an easy to wear piece whatever your body shape.  So put a spring in your step and look to the high street for some sweet bon-bon inspiration – low-cal, of course!xx

Mark Darcy Reindeer Jumper and Me

Ever since Mark Darcy struck a pose with Bridget Jones in his reindeer  jumper, novelty animal knits have had a bad press- but this season they are everywhere from Joseph to Topshop.  So here is a very wearable grown-up version from House of Fraser – with a snowball motif its perfect for the Siberian weather that we are getting at the moment – toasty enough to keep you warm,  yet stylish and fun enough to bring a smile to any fifty something! see you next blogxx

This is getting to be an expensive blog …..xx

Aspen to Accrington

For a bit of apres ski style on the high street, this coat in the sale at Zara certainly has everything you need for high altitude dressing.  With a flattering faux fur collar to soften the face it definitely looks more Aspen than Accrington but no need to wait for the slopes, a cold January day is excuse enough to get out there and look a fabulous over 50 something! see you next blog xx

Miss. Moneypenny

After all the repeats of James Bond movies over the holidays, trying on this pencil skirt and animal print top in the sale from Mint Velvet made me feel very Miss. Moneypenny!  Lets just hope that when James returns from his latest mission he needs to pop into the office for a bit of dictation ……I’m sure he’ll appreciate the more mature lady and her fabulous fashion sense for the 50 somethings! xx
